I place an order for glasses, Almost 2 weeks later they let me know that my product was on backorder. 2 more emails from frames direct pushing back the date that they will be received. I should of been informed when I placed the order, Frames Direct kept blaming the supplier....this is just unprofessional and false advertising. Buyer beware! this was a bitter sweet experience. I know it is easier for us to complain than praise. It's human nature. I hope my review will save someone I don't know from becoming as disillusioned as i. I recd good service shopping online however I need to claim on warranty of frames bc cracked and I cannot contact Frames Direct inspite of my sending many emails. Never expect to order from this place and hope to get a return when there's a problem. I ordered a pair of Gucci glasses on their website and obviously the quality wasn't good enough that the frame broke. I asked for a return but the response I get is "this is not a manufacturer problem". So even if there is a 365 day warranty for your glasses, chances are it doesn't cover sh*t. Now I'm not... I ordered 2 glasses from frames direct with a coupon of buy one get one 30% off. I thought what a great deal. They called me and told me that they could not fulfill the order because it was discontinued. This was a lie, as you could still order from the manufacturer. Frames Direct Placed an order for 2 pairs Oakley prescription glasses. Received a confirmation. Then received a back order email. Do not buy progressive lens over the internet. Bought prog. lens from Frames Direct, the lens specifications were way off, these type of lens should only be done in person at a qualified eyeglass store. Three months after returning frames that appeared much different from what I ordered, Frames Direct refuses to give me a refund without my completion of a W-9 form that would include my SSN and enough info to steal my identity. They confirm they received the frames all and was fine there but will not issue a refund check without a completed W-9 form. I have called and emailed numerous times... Read more
